Not to say it is a black hole but if a black hole was coming towards us would time slow down and also how would we know if a black hole was coming?

Answers:

I think we would know when clocks started running a lot slower. Even if time appeared the same to everyone, we would all know its actually slower by looking at the clock. An hour would last a lot longer than 60 minutes

No, it is speeding up in my realm.

Time dilation due to increased gravity would cause time to slow down relative to someone away from that gravity well and inside the time dilation field it generated, but to anyone there and inside it, time would seem to pass exactly the same as it always has.

No... in fact, I think it's speeding up - I mean, New Years Eve didn't seem all that long ago, and now we've already passed 4th of July.... I was glad to be rid of 2016, but I was hoping to slow down just a bit....

If you think relatively to how long you someone have already lived, when you were 1 year old, the length of 1 year would feel like your whole life. When you were 10, the same year would be 1/10 of he longest time you could think at that point. Ruqhly speaking, time is very subjective and relative, and the best thing our brains have to compare long periods, is it's own lifetime. Therefore, he older you get time seems to go faster and faster. But it's just an illusion caused by our brain's inability to find reference points longer tha it's own age. Wut?

If time were slowing down due to time dilation, then time would slow down equally for everyone around us, so the speed of time would look the same to us.

Nope. These folks would know, almost instantly.

As for an approaching black hole - planetary orbits would be skewed from their orbits, something that would be quite obvious even to amateur astronomers.

not really

Being a time traveler, I've kinda lost the ability to sense what's going on, I thought it was speeding up. We wouldn't know or perceive a black hole. We're constantly going thru those things.

i think time is speeding up myself.
